I don't remember ever hearing about TB before moving to Florida but you can't get away from it here. If it's not "genuine" TB then it's TB style. Everything from clothing, restaurants, furniture, fabric, home decor, dishes and linens. Indoor and Outdoor. I've even visited a model home decorated exclusively with TB items (it was beautiful!). Today I am going to show you some authentic TB items I have in my home that I paid considerably less than retail for.
These are the Cayo Vista Placemats and napkins in Seafoam. These sell for over $50 on ebay, but I got them at Ross and paid less than half.
They make a nice tropical place setting.
I used a TB fabric shower curtain to make a curtain for the window above my tub in the master bath.
Right now this shower curtain is selling for over $40 on ebay, but I found it on clearance at Marshall's for $10.
I have 2 of these tablecloths (square 52" by 52"). I found them on clearance at Macy's on line for $5 a piece!
They have cute little sayings on them that reflect the TB attitude of laid back living.
But my favorite has to be the comforter on my bed. After looking everywhere for one I really loved I found this at Steinmart. It was just under $200 for the set. You probably know by now how much I love pineapples and this was just the look I was after with my "Key West" bedroom furniture.
From my experience, Tommy Bahama products are good quality and worth looking for at a reduced price. They carry them in lots of stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond, Marshall's, Macy's and of course Ross. I think the prices on ebay are too high. If this is the look you are after for your home,go ahead and start an affair with him too! You can visit his website HERE.
I am joining the party at Metamorphosis Monday at Between Naps on the Porch. Please stop by and take a look at all the creativity and talent that shows up there every week!
