This is a great time of year to visit those stores that are a little more pricey than Ross or Home Goods. Pier One is having a big summer clearance right now and I just received a couple of coupons in the mail too. You will have to wait another day to see what I picked up there but let's get back to Pottery Barn. I happened to find myself having lunch in the same shopping village (yes, village, it's pretty nice) in the Hyde Park section of Tampa. And I happened to be the one who chose the restaurant that's across from the Pottery Barn. After eating, we decided to just go and take a look. Isn't that when you find the best deals? What can I say, these glass buoys insisted on coming home with me!
This is the picture from their website. Recycled glass Buoy, 4" diameter, Reg. $29.50, on Clearance for $16.99. I only paid $5.99 each and that is why you need to VISIT the store!
There are endless possibilities for what you can do with these. Here I just filled a shell with "sand" ( grits with a little crystal sugar) and a shell. These glass balls look best when light can shine through them.
I covered one with a fish net from Dollar Tree. You could use this to hang the buoy but be sure to have it tied up securely (it is glass after all!)
Here they look like little crystal balls nesting in upside down candleholders. Sorry, they look pretty but they can't see into the future! What do you expect for $5.99???
For now, I like how this looks in my apothecary jar.
There's something new in this tray. I added the hourglass because the color of the sand reminds me of the beach. I found it today at Marshall's for $5.99.
Ok, I know I got a good deal on these glass buoys (probably should have bought more!). How about some more ideas of what I could do with them?

Just came over from Positively Splendid. Had to comment since I went to Pottery Barn for the first time ever last weekend (have to drive 2.5 hours to get to one) and I came home with exactly what you did. Buoy's!! Love, love, love 'em! I guess great minds think alike :)
